The demand for ABAP developer was highest in the start of the year 2007 and now the demand has stabilized. One can go for career as Abap Developer or programmer and some go for the implementation work.
The job in implementation is more adventures as compared to support. You get problems to solve and it requires a good convincing skills and communication, to perform better at client side. The implementation team has to go to the client place every day and provide solution to the queries of the clients.
